Study links breakfast to better insulin measures in kids

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for kids!

Eating breakfast just an additional two times per week was associated with lower fasting insulin and insulin resistance among children in an underserved community, compared with not having more meals, according to a study. The analysis included 1,417 third- to fifth-grade students in Texas who received nutrition lessons on the benefits of eating a healthful breakfast.
