Research: Fiber-rich diet may aid immunotherapy response

The success of immunotherapy for cancer may partly depend on the gut microbiome. A recent study in Science found that melanoma patients with fiber-rich diets had improved immunotherapy outcomes, leading some physicians to encourage their patients to eat more fiber. A clinical trial is underway to further investigate this.
